Construction Site Check-In Systems: A Better Way to Track Workers & Contractors On Site

It is 6.48am.

The site is technically still quiet.

In reality, the morning rush has already started.

Two electricians arrive in one van.

A drylining crew comes through behind them.

The groundworks subcontractor has six people expected.

A new labourer needs to find the site office before starting.

Someone from the lift contractor is due later.

A concrete delivery is already being discussed on the radio.

By 7.15am, a site that looked empty half an hour earlier can have dozens of people working across several floors, compounds and work areas.

Then somebody asks a deceptively simple question:

How many people are actually on site?

The labour plan can tell you who was expected.

A subcontractor's foreman can tell you who should have arrived.

The programme can tell you what trades are working.

The paper sheet in the site office may eventually tell you who signed their name.

None of those necessarily gives management a clear, live view of who has actually recorded themselves as present right now.
